Newark
Art Club aims to enable artists to pursue their hobby in the
company of fellow enthusiasts. New members are always welcome, both
beginners and experienced. We have a friendly and informal
atmosphere for anyone interested in drawing and
painting.
The
club organises demonstrations from professional artists
approximately six times a year for you to watch and learn new
techniques. This can be extended by optional workshop activities
where you get to practise with an experienced artist on
hand.
Outdoor
sketching in places of local interest is organised in the summer
months, weather permitting. Experienced artists are at hand to help
with sketching techniques and help with transport can be
arranged
Social
events like trips to national exhibitions and places of artistic
interest are organised occasionally throughout the year.
The
club organises at least 2 exhibitions a year to display and sell
work in the local area.

exhibition will be at the Gilstrap Centre in Newark from Saturday 8
May to Saturday 19 June 2010
